Wine tastings are primarily thrown at people's houses. 

You bring your favorite bottle of wine (or two) and an appetizer, and the host provides glasses, openers, music, and a place for everyone to relax and try each other's wine and appetizers.

Members and friends bring wine from many different sources.  Some travel the world visiting wineries they like, and some just run to Total Wine or a local store.  In between is a delivery service that picks wine from wineries around the world that only sell in person.  You cannot buy their wine online or in stores, except through a particular distributor.  That wine is delivered every month.  Click here for information.
